Granville Takes Action on Economic Future
GRANVILLE, OHIO - Focusing on diversifying the local economy, the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with both the Village of Granville and Granville Township, have initiated a formal strategic planning process to identify approaches to target and expand the commercial tax base within the Granville, Ohio community as well as promote a positive sustainable business climate. Project work began February 2022, and at the end of the anticipated six-month process, a Granville-focused economic development strategy will be implemented.
Specific items to be addressed within the project include identifying strategies to guide mindful development, harness community benefits, and mitigate potential negative effects of the Intel semiconductor facility planned in the City of New Albany. In addition, the project aims to find funding sources for infrastructure, strengthen community partnerships, and locate industry-specific opportunities related to the listed key sites, buildings, or corridors.
Neighborhood Strategies has been retained for project management, economic development technical advice, and public engagement services for the project.
