>>> PROVIDING ECONOMIC GUIDANCE TO THE ENERGY COOPERATIVE
Our firm tracks significant private investments within The Energy Cooperative’s service area, analyzing both residential and commercial growth to anticipate future needs for electric and natural gas infrastructure. To effectively communicate these requirements, we host regular meetings with local government and industry leaders and stay current on federal infrastructure policies. We report directly to The Energy Cooperative’s president, contribute to economic development discussions, and represent the organization in regional efforts with entities like JobsOhio and OneColumbus. Supporting the service area around the Ohio One Intel campus, we demonstrate expertise in economic development, planning, government relations, and federal grant writing while advising The Energy Cooperative’s leadership in a rapidly evolving region.
>>> SEcuring funding to modernize & safeguard natural gas infrastructure
Neighborhood Strategies led two successful grant applications for The Energy Cooperative, resulting in a total award of $6 million in federal bipartisan infrastructure funds (FY 2023). These grants were secured through the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure Safety and Modernization (NGDISM) grant program. By leveraging our firm’s planning expertise and understanding of federal funding processes, we effectively demonstrated the need for funding to enhance the safety and modernization of natural gas distribution infrastructure within the The Energy Cooperative service area.
